The most disturbing thing is that three had already been convicted of the same crime.
Whilst I think it would be impossible to imprison every paedophile for the rest of their lives I do think it is maybe time to look at removing them from the rest of society. As fantastic as it may seem maybe we could remove them to an island - I am thinking of a similar set up to the one the BBC used for the Castaway 2000 exercise

Andy...yes of course abuse is committed by all types of people.

But some people on here have a special "Muslim Search Engine", that actively seeks out Muslims in the news. And there certainly an opinion on AB that expresses a belief that most sexual abuse is done with Muslims, and its a special kind of Muslim trait, and that is the point I was making, which I am sure you understood

No one as told the lie that most paedophile activity is committed by brown Muslim men.

But what they have done is commented on the nationwide spread of child abuse cases, mostly committed by Pakistani men, that have been extensively reported on.

Just as this abominable case is being reported on now.

but AOG...whenever widespread abuse by Muslims is reported, its always emphasised that the perpetrators were Muslim. I fail to see any reference in this case as to their convicted men's religious leanings.

Perhaps that is because they most likely don't belong to any particular religious group, now if they had happened to be Roman Catholic Priests, I am sure it would have been pointed out.

Sometimes they are not just referred to as Muslim, but also Pakistani, could it be a cultural thing?

I'm sure I saw a documentary a few years ago about a facility in America that housed dangerous paedophiles after their prison sentence. These men would have served life in prison if they did not accept what they had done was wrong but the facility was also closed so the men couldn't leave.
It didn't have the prison regime and was more like a resort complex but they had to consent to regular counselling and (I think) chemical castration.
I have no idea how this place was funded because it sure wasn't cheap but what are the chances in the UK of convicted paedophiles getting a job and leading productive lives on the outside?

On the other hand I can't see that is a healthy environment where like minded people are mixing and sharing experiences/fantasies etc.

I don't understand what this sentence means:
Robin Hollyson, 31, from Bedfordshire, was sentenced to 24 years in prison and a further eight years on licence. He was filmed abusing the baby.

Does it mean he can't be released until he has served 24 years?
