The US lost the battle for hearts and minds in Afghanistan, long ago.

The hospital was run by an International Aid Agency, so it is inconceivable that the US did not know it was an hospital. The truth is, they don't care. If doctors and nurses are killed in the pursuit of unarmed Taleban members, then the US will not lose sleep over collateral damage.

I agree they don't care, but they should if only for this reason. Incidents like this take the sting out of any criticism of similar Russian indifference to collateral damage in Syria.
Bit like their police force ... shoot first ask questions later.....IMO!
