My remark was made not because of the colour of his skin (which you and others would have loved it to have been, hence the suggestions that there were racist connections attached to some answers), but because of the posing way that he had chosen to take, apart from how many shoppers these days, shop in collar and ties?
Incidentally since you have seemed to have failed on this one, perhaps you care to take a look at my link on the theft of wire baskets in Wales and Scotland, surely with your vivid imagination, you can get a little racism on my part out of that?

Thank you for responding re the remark about Mr Hilton's clothing - of course some people do shop in smart attire, I too have seen them.
However it is more likely he was interviewed prior to going to work if the photo in the article is any indication of the time of day as it is so empty in the car park.

Thank you for your reply, and the clarification. If I misunderstood the gist of your post, then that responsibility lies more with your history with regard to issues of ethnicity, than with my misinterpretation – but thank you for explaining, that was all I asked.

Neat mindreading trick, btw. I was going to post about brand-name poseurs, re-using the snazzy bags (reassuringly sturdy) for their most mundane shopping.
Which reminds me, the thread has barely touched on the fact that bags are the flimsiest they've been for years and aren't worth a penny, let alone five. At least they're not pretending that it isn't a tax or a penalty charge.
"Behaviour modification" though. Few other areas of life where we push people this hard and it focuses anger on environmental concerns. A generation of kids will be listening to their parents getting wound up by what Clarkso calls "eco-mentalism" and I worry they may internalise this and turn into "couldn't give a ****" types, by the time they grow up.
