it's a little odd that the police are describing people as of Mediterranean appearance. This used to refer, rather generally, to Spaniards and Italians etc with slightly more olive skin than the northern blonds who populate the UK. If it's now so broad that it includes Frenchmen in berets on their bikes and jihadis in their burqas, they might be better off not issuing descriptions at all.

Just to clarify something - I wasn't being sarcastic. I was merely informing you that kids growing up in the 60s and 70s are the ones who are now coming forward to tell us of childhood abuse.

We are often told that we should not use our own morals to judge people from the past, but sometimes...just some sometimes we have to look back on the way that kids were treated and say, "Your generation got it wrong".

I think that children who grew up in Catholic orphanages or or lived any where within a bus ride from Jimmy Saville would question the way that their abuse is flippantly dismissed...
