Lets just be happy that an arrest has been made, further enquiries are on going and hopefully the females of Clapham will feel safer now this predator is in custody. It must make uncomfortable reading to see the suspect described as Mediterranean for some here. How some would prefer to read Henry Higgins the celebrated cockney pearly king was arrested for...

Well sort out, hold my hands up, yes it is now obvious that I made that remark all that time ago, my memory isn't what it once was.

But in my defence notice I enclosed the word 'fumblings' in single quotation marks, which means not to be taken too seriously.

Examples such as these:

Ex-deputy director of MI6 is named by MP as 'key' figure who 'manipulated' Westminster VIP paedophile ring

or

'Far Left activists' behead hundreds of pheasants after shooting them with catapults at four country estates including one run by Cameron's cousin
Thanks JTH

When someone tries to dismiss Saville's abuse as fumblings whether in quotes or not - it tends to stick in the memory.

And AOG - you've deliberately tried to sidestep my point. These child abuse cases happened in the 60s.

This is well before the recent Asian grooming gang cases.

These halcyon days you constantly refer to had a dirty secret. Children were being abused on an industrial scale - and we are now finding out about it.

Do you agree that there is at least some truth in this?

There was a documentary on CH4 earlier this year which revealed the level of abuse suffered by kids who were befriended by one of Saville's DJ mates.

You should watch it.

I doubt whether you will ever use the word 'fumblings' again.

Does that make them ever less disgusting?

/// These halcyon days you constantly refer to ///

Do not refer to the 60s, far from it.
