Sorry - I didn't see your post before posting a response.
AOG has recently shown an issue remembering some of the things he's been involved in, on AB (such as referring to Jimmy Saville's numerous sexual assaults as 'fumblings').
I do not blame him for mis-remembering the case in Paris.
What I find odd is that he would spend so much of his valuable time trying to establish whether that was a racist attack, but apparently in this situation, the girls are deemed scum immediately.
There MUST be a reason why these girls are scum, but the Chelsea supporters get the benefit of his doubt.
It's a real mystery as to why though.
AOG - care to shed some light?

I have to agree with Naomi and sp on this one AOG.
You went to quite extraordinary lengths to try and minimise the seriousness of the assault on the Paris commuter, and to gloss over the clearly racist and violent intentions of the football supporters involved - and now you are doing so once again.
I appreciate that you did not raise the subject - but you still seem keen to argue your previous position even though it was rendered untenable by the sheer volume of disagreement that your view generated.

Just to clarify something - I am very pleased that this particular story got media traction and that (at time of writing) there has been at least one arrest.
No-one should feel intimidated by anyone else in public. We all have a right to be able to conduct our business without fear of physical or verbal attack.
These girls have shown how disgusting some people can be.

/// I remember that video, and it was a gang of thugs against one man. ///
Oh so all those members of the football crowd in that carriage all physically harmed that black man did they?
I seem to remember it was only one in the doorway of that stationary carriage that actually kept pushing him away.
Why I don't condone what happened on that station, no one can possibly compare it to what happened on this bus, and remember it was you who provided the comparison, where none was needed.
Stick to the subject of the thread, after all aren't they Site Rules?

AOG - //Oh so all those members of the football crowd in that carriage all physically harmed that black man did they? //
No - but they all bullied and harassed him in his own city with racist chants and threatening body language.

Well that's alright then!
You know as well as I that bullies hunt best in packs - if that football yob had been on his own on a train in a foreign country, do you think he would have been shouting and pushing - without the tacit support of a large number of he fellow countrymen / racist friends behind him.

It is not a comparison being made about the two situations, obviously there is no comparison - but the approach you took to one then the other is what has caused comment.

And I thought you were an advocate of strict Site Rules? sp1814 deliberately introduced the man on the station case to side track the fact that some black people have been seen to commit an horrendous and savage attack on an 87 year old lady.
If you can't see who is to blame for the direction this thread is going, then please in the future don't criticise others for side-tracking threads.
