No mention of it being Racist, no it is described as France's far right National Front party, an anti immigration and anti EU party.
Which gives the impression that it is a more acceptable political party than any of our own nationalist parties.
Who's followers are so often described as knuck-draggers, racist, Nazis, fascists, bigots, etc.

Your question is answered within the article, in the blue box.
To summarise:
The first leader of the FN, Jean Marie Le Pen, was convicted of xenophobia and anti-Semitism in 2005. He was also found guilty of inciting racial hatred against Muslims.
His daughter took over leadership and has strived for a softer image that doesn't demonise groups and has expelled the most controversial members. However, she was charged with inciting racial hatred when she compared Muslim street prayers to Nazi occupation last year.
So you see, the overall image of the FN is not much different to the image of the NF.

The Front National have widely been described as racist, and not just by "the Left"
Le Pen's daughter has tried to make them more respectable, by toning down the overt racism
Ignoring comparisons with "any of our own nationalist parties", which would be pointless and irrelevant, a key difference between them and, say, the NF, BNP etc - is that they attract a lot of middle class support. Makes them more like UKIP used to be like, really

/// According to ANOTHEOLDGIT'S opinion the Front National is politically more acceptable but he may mean more acceptable to him. ///
No more acceptable to the French people, judging by this.
*** France's far right National Front party is expected to make huge gains in Sunday's regional elections after seizing upon the Paris terror attacks and Europe's migrant crisis. ***
*** The anti immigration, anti EU party will lead the first round of votes in six out of 13 regions, a survey by Ipsos pollsters predicted. ***

Is the answer, one has a future, and the other one hasn't?
// It was a disastrous result for Ukip. It confirms that the party is finished. Having had a terrible general election, the party has now lost its reason for existing. Its purpose is to win the argument for Britain to leave the European Union. Not only did the voters give it just one seat in May, but they elected a Conservative government committed to a referendum. The question of our EU membership will be decided by the British people in the next two years – and Ukip has so little support that the “leave” campaigners want as little to do with it and its backward-looking image as possible. //

UKIP...is a single-issue Party. Look at its history. Farage himself has said on numerous occasions that his only goal is to bring about a referendum on Britain's continuing membership of the EU. We now appear to have that referendum, although we are not sure exactly when.
So why would UKIP need to continue to exist ?

/// UKIP continue to enthuse but not persuade, and they will continue to lose elections into the future...if there is a future for them in Britain. ///
One could say that about your beloved Labour Party.
You should be showing more concerns over the demise of Labour at General Elections, than praising a safe seat win, up North, or taking the oportunity to have a go at even your usual whipping boy Nigel Farage and UKIP.
