And he emulated her in staying a long time in office and winning elections, so I suppose he was an apt student. But he doesn't seem to grasp that because his name is mud, the party will be distancing itself from him and his wars for some time to come.
Blair is not Tory in my books, that's just a smear the left adopt to fend of the fact the last labour government wrecked the economy through overspend.
Tories do not overspend, they cut back the unaffordable excesses of labour. Generally that actually works out well as we get a period of social spend followed by ensuring the country can pay for it. Unfortunately Labour got in for too long under His Tonyness and the pattern was destroyed.
Like I say, he is not Tory.

the labour leadership election delivered the biggest mandate in the party's history, from the party as a whole, not just the encumbent MPs. given that Jeremy Corbyn made no secret of his views, QED it was a mandate to move the party considerably left of Mr Blair and the party that called itself "new labour". Mr Blair no longer represents the views of the Labour party and ought to wind his neck in while the labour party evolves into the entity chosen for it by its membership.
