As suggested by others, many Muslims must have flown out to the USA that day without problem. It could merely be a problem with their online booking (which would have been an airline provider problem sorted out by them) or a more serious cause for concern such as his name being flagged up as having possible links with ISIS

If that is the case his passport appears to be flagged for other reasons and he is aware of it. I am sure he would of made enquiries or been informed in the past why his passport sets off alarm bells as this is not a new experience.

It would appear that Mr Taheri is falling into the trap that all agitiators use - misunderstanding the difference between the vast majority of Muslims, who are peaceful, and a tiny minority, who are hate-filled murderers.

You cannot use the high-profile views and actions of a minority to bind all adherents together, it is simply not a viable position to take.

Adolf Hitler was a professed Christian - would any followers of that faith be happy if his views were put forward as a representation of their own beliefs.
