Have you posted pics of your saucepans on line? Gawd knows what lowlife trolls etc are doing with them, yet another one of many reasons not to use facetube etc.

// And where do saucepans fit into all this?//

ill fitting is all I can say with a lot of steam and hot air coming from the sides

saucepan lids - kids

3T uses rhyming slang and so "the sweaties and the sockies binzwanger the splutch innit ? " means I am going down to the local fish and chip shop and see if there is an encyclopedia Britannica for sale

there probably isnt ( not up t north anyway )

it is obviously both artistic concise and clear

as for photos of kids or indeed kitchen ware on the internet
if you dont want them nicked - er dont publish them !

when my prose has been plagiarised ( my little babies or as 3T might say, my shronklink fonzdonglers ) I have never felt aggrieved but flattered that someone has read it and decided it is good enough to copy

But if you have published a photo of your little Princess Esmerelda - I suppose you dont want the photie recycled with the caption - "this devil woman bit the head off my prize capon !" especially if tomato sauce has been photoshopped running down the side of the little maiden's mouth

as for low life trolls surely he means gruentflich finklestein dongtwots ?
Thanks for the clarification , rhyming slang seems to have originated as a way to confuse (the authorities maybe?) - using longer terms than are needed.

Great care must always be taken when posting pics of that I agree , have fallen foul of a nasty hacker myself.
I have my privacy settings as high as possible on FB, but my son who is a DS in CID hates the fact that I'm on there at all.

use yer loaf Pete!
I know that one, Tora!
Must be learning!
I actually expected to see photos of peoples kitchen equipment.
TTT your use of 'Slang' is stopping people from bothering to look at your posts.
If you had actually used the word 'Children' rather than 'saucepans' you would have a lot more views and comments.
Not the first time, I remember you posting a question about 'defective saucepans' which turned out to be about disabled children .
I value your posts but this use of 'slang' is very annoying.
Can I ask that you stop it please?
Ditto Eddie. I had no interest in a topic about saucepans.!!!!!
Lang may your lung reek my old chinas :-)
Ditto, Eddie. I find it frankly irritating to have to translate a post when the poster of perfectly capable of making himself clear.

Stop it, TTT, for my sanity

come on, all this "I don't get it cobblers" I use it all the time and it's been explained countless times. Some just pretend they don't get it, caught one out the other day who actually used the phrase himself. Not sure why people pretend but hey ho. My posts get read Eddie, thousands of hits mate so keep yer barnett on. Don't go all radio on me HC. For the umpteenth time: http://www.phespirit.info/cockney/slang_to_english.htm,
It's lum's that reek.
You must be a right Del Boy, TTT. I refuse to refer to a translator to understand your posts.
Well there you go shoota. I am not Scottish and it is mo big deal but a modicum of humour on this site is mow seriouly lacking here as mentioned earlier today.Nice to be told ga boil ya heed here isn't it on occasion by our northern chinas.

Who do you suggest we turn to to decipher PPs last thread. Are there such translators to be found ? :-)
I don't talk slang...never have and never will. Be a grown up TTT
I saw a question about saucepans and was quite happy to believe that people actually do put photos of their kitchen equipment on FB
// rhyming slang seems to have originated as a way to confuse (the authorities maybe?) //

thieves' cant apparently - they cant what ?
cant as in language

St Giles Greek was one of the first recorded
same place as Gin Lane by Hogarth ( St Geo Bloomsbury in the background)
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thieves%27_cant
My OH uses the word saucepans for children all the time, and I still thought the post was about kitchenware!
