For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.On the very few occasions that I have shopped after midnight in Tesco, it has been virtually empty, apart from a few staff refilling the shelves.Some on my local Tesco stores have stopped the 24 hour nonsense anyway, and now its only left in the 2 "Extra" stores. To be honest, I never really understood the point of it.
Ours used to open 24/7 but stopped years ago....I used to go in very very early sometimes and like youngmafbog says, they were in there shelf stacking anyway so it was just a question of having one till open or someone to service the DIY tills. At the time they couldn’t sell alcohol 24/7 and I think this caused some issues with people turning up to buy booze and being refused, getting stroppy and the police being called in. After this they used to to 24/7 shopping around christmas and new year but I don’t think they did even that last christmas.
