yes I dislike this statement because it is tripe
I dont like vigilantes and they are causally unconnected with sexual predators and whether or not they are here or not
the two things are unconnected and we know this from the examples of Dr Clooty and the Newton Heath case ....

Yes, 'Frightening, Sickening' I go along with all that. I also understand, and am very disturbed by, the historical context. I could not have believed a year ago that this would be happening.
BUT - I suddenly find that my gender makes me a target. Far worse than I experienced in the 60's (a spiky umbrella usually dissuaded unwanted advances). As a mature lady I am probably reasonably safe, but this is so very definitely wrong, wrong, wrong!
If I were in a situation of being in a happy crowd these days, I would, TBH, be glad that these people would be around to protect me. This is because of a massive failure of state security.
Those in power have really lost the plot.

It not only the crimes committed that is sickening, it is the sentences handed out that beggars belief.
Three African immigrants who brutally raped a 14-year-old girl to the point where she wanted to kill herself were given extremely light sentences by a court in Norway, with one receiving community service and avoiding prison altogether.
The three men, 18-year-old Bile Mohamed Elmi, 21-year-old Abdirizak Nur Ali and 21-year-old Mohamed Abdirisak Mohamed, were initially charged with gang rape, which carries a maximum sentence of 21 years.
However, prosecutor Cecilie Schloss Møller insisted there wasn’t enough evidence and the three men were convicted of sexual contact with a child under 16 years of age, which carries a lighter sentence
As a result, one of the men, Bile Mohamed Elmi received just 344 hours community service “for two counts of sexual intercourse with the girl in a particularly offensive manner.” Mohamed Abdirisak Mohamed received 17 months imprisonment, while Abdirizak Nur Ali received just 10 months imprisonment.

retrocop - //Finnish Thugs??? No evidence reported of that yet!! How do you jump tonthat conclusion? Because I think so??? No evidence at all but what do you say about no more Finnish women being raped by foreign racist thugs? Not so vociferous there I note //
If it looks like a duck, walks like a duck, and quacks like a duck ... it's a duck.

Your hysterical language does no service to your argument.
But, to be clear - two points -
1. I completely understand the thinking and the ethos behind The Sons Of Odin - their purported desire to protect women and children from attack.
2. My argument against it is that this sort of gang mentality only escalates if allowed to proliferate.
It starts with a few like-minded men patrolling streets to provide a 'preseence' to intimidate would-be criminals.
Then they get a 'uniform', and start 'meetings' and invest in a 'hierarchy', with pseudo-military structure.
Then they carry base-ball bats in case they need to 'pursuade' some people to leave their area.
Then they carry guns.
Then they start actively harassing members of the community from which the wrong-doers (long since driven out) come.
Then they make a target of anyone who conforms to their notion of an 'undesriable' - a different skin colour is always a safe indicator that someone is not fit to live in their area.
Does that sound familiar?
It should - it's how The Ku Klux Klan started.
That is my fear about vigilantes - not their well-intentioned self-righteousness, but the fact that they operate outside the law. They become their own law, answerable only to themselves. They become the very people they started out protecting people from.
That is why I will never agree that these groups are anything but trouble.

My hysterical language? Priceless and as usual hypocritical from you!!
What I described comes from fact as reported in the world media.
Must we all dismiss it as hysteria because you were not reporting it first?

Now, that above, is what I call assumptions without any basis of truth. None of what you have said has, thus far, been reported in this news report so I would suggest you stick to the OP and don't let your utopian mind wander off into visions of doom/gloom and hysteria.
