Not quite, we missed out on a King Frederick. Had he not predeceased his father Henry VII would have been succeeded by King Arthur and not Henry VIII. A few folk might have kept their heads a little longer.

It is a sad but inevitable fact that the next decade or so will see a spate of royal funerals. Apart from HM and HRH the Duke of Edinburgh, those of the Queen's generation are now elderly. The Duke and Duchess of Kent are in their 80's, Princess Alexandra of Kent is almost there; the youngest is the Duke (Prince Richard) of Gloucester at a young 72.
