The huge majority of murderers are totally 'normal' they just 'lost it' for a short while, often after years of provocation.
I am completely certain that if every one left school fully literate there would be much less crime.
Even here on AB it is noticeable that most of the questions from people who have committed GBH, ABH or common assault show a lack of basic literacy.
It can't all be down to coincidence!

douglas - //One can only hope that their fellow inmates remain calm and rational when they hear of the arrival of serial child molesters in their midst.
It would be a sad indictment on the inability of the penal reform system to protect all of them for every minute of every day if at some point in their sentences serious injury or worse befell these heartless beasts.
Wouldn't it? //
Yes, it would.
The punishment by law is the detention.
If we allow ad hoc violence to be allowed on top of the sentence, then the rule of law becomes meaningless.
Our laws are what make us civilised - we cannot allow vigilantism inside out penal institutions, it is the beginning of the end for civilised society.

I also agree with your position on this.

Then our law has failed in this case. If these Asians were part of your fluffy bunny Utopian civilisation they wouldn't be in jail in the first place.
Our law did not make them civilised but perhaps they adhere to Sharia in our country!

I would entirely agree.

I don;lt have a 'fluffy bunny Utopian civilisation'.

I did not mention our law making them civilised, I said our laws are what make US civilised - an important distinction you seem to have missed in your urge to be rude to me - again.

No there is no distinction. You said // Our laws are what make us civilised //
These child rapists are not civilised unless you differ to my view. Therefore you saying// our laws are what make US civilised// are erroneous. They did not civilise this scum and they have no place in my world ever. They should not still be breathing the same air as civilised people breathe.

It's rapidly getting out of order and deteriorating towards personal attacks. I would suggest some 'cease and desist' - not least that this is the sort of thing that puts outsiders and some folk off......
I agree with the literacy comment....that transposes itself above anything to do with race, religious creed and what other minority bigotry one wants to cook up.
