What I can't understand here is the fact that Labour are trying to score 'Brownie' points, by stating that Cameron has not done enough, yet left to them they are quite happy to remain in the EU.

Seeing that Labour are all for staying in, their worse enemy big business is all for staying in and our weak Premier is all for staying in, isn't that enough to make the majority want to get out?

Sadly, the referendum is unlikely to be fought on the terms of this agreement.
So I doubt if it will make a lot of difference to any polls here.
Most people are pro- or anti-EU for reasons nothing to do with this

No. However enticing deals struck now may appear to be, they cannot be guaranteed to remain unchanged in the future and whatever decisions are made then, good or bad, we'll be stuck with. This will be our one opportunity to exit. If membership of the EU is really so overwhelmingly beneficial to us, the vast majority would be happy with it and we wouldn't be having a referendum at all.

I thought that was the whole purpose of this summit meeting, perhaps our Dave would have been better employed by addressing the real concerns that affect this country and doing something about them?

No but had he gone along to Brussels with the intention to alter the rules regarding the real issues and then came away with everything he wanted, then I am sure the majority would vote to stay in.

Well, the purpose of the summit meeting was several things, although it was always going to effectively involve most people talking about this as it was the main business.

I can only repeat what I said earlier, the agreement is irrelevant: except to the extent that it may bring some more of his prominent ministers on board to campaign with him.

In some cases I would agree but in this particular case I just thought it would be interesting to see how many of the 'OUTS' were now persuaded to change their mind about coming out of the EU.

But of course nothing is stopping the others from commenting about the changers David Cameron has come away with.

Who decides what is “exceptional”?

The UK will be able to operate the brake for 7 years.
Then after 7 years? A complete ‘free for all’ policy, maybe?

Mr. Cameron had wanted a complete ban on migrants sending child benefit home, but settled for it depending on the cost of living in their own country.

Everyone has their own reasons for whichever way they choose to vote, and there is, and will be scaremongering on both sides, but there is nothing that anyone can say or do to make me change my mind
