Another Referendum Threatned By Nasty Nicola

I cant believe this. She has threatened another referendum if Scotland doesnt decide to leave the EU and Britain does. Laughingly she says she thinks it will be the demand of the Scottish people. When has she ever listened to the Scottish people? We were promised a once in a generation opportunity for independence. She hasn't listened to the majority over that ??

Scotland's First Minister isn't "threatening" anything; she has said repeatedly that the call for a further referendum on independence will not come from the SNP until one or both of the following two things occur(s):

a) evidence being clearly there that the majority of Scots voters now
favour independence, unlike as in September 2014.

b) any change that is detrimental to Scottish society's well-being is, in effect, 'forced' upon them by votes elsewhere.

The latter is based on the view that - if the Scots vote 'In' in the EU referendum and the English vote 'Out' - there is no real reason why the former should just accept that. Only the English electorate put Cameron in Downing Street in 2015, while Scottish, Welsh and Northern Irish electorates roundly rejected his party. However - because that was a UK general election and not a referendum - the majority view had to be accepted. Such passive acceptance would not work, if the Scots electorate had shown that they WANTED to be part of the EU and being forced out against their will was not to be tolerated.
As for "listening to the Scottish people", I suggest you do that, Gordie. They seem to have spoken loud and clear when 56 of the 59 constituencies chose SNP candidates!
