It seems like an awful lot of money for something that didn't hamper the producer's career or leave him with catastrophic injuries. Soldiers get much less than that when they lose a limb in war.
I'm not saying that what JC was ok; of course it's not. Perhaps he should have been tried for assault or something, but I don't see £100,000 being a fair compensation.
Who names their child Oisin? He looks a right little oik anyway. They couldn't wait for an excuse to get rid of Clarkson, he was totally the wrong political persuasion for the BBC to stomach any longer.
Dave, it's an Irish name. I don't know how common it is - I mean common as in terms of amount of usage, not class, just to clarify.
I like JC. I think he's clever and funny. I'm not interested in cars but I read his newspaper columns because he's such a good writer. I think the BBC were wrong to sack him.
//have you see what has happened to the Sunday Times Driving section this couple of weeks ? Clarkson is now poison. //
Yes I've seen what's happened. It has been taken out of the comic like tissue paper supplement and been moved to the full gloss magazine type supplement. A vast improvement justly deserved. Oh Clarkson is still there by the way. But no longer surrounded by the cheap end of the advertising market, all the up market ones instead.
Clarkson/May/Hamster/Amazon prime show to be called The Grand Tour! the trio will take their show on the road, visiting different locations every week, unlike TG! GT, eh!
