She wants out of the UK which also means out of the EU but she also wants in the EU! PMSL. So if the UK vote to stay in presumably she'll still want to leave the UK and thus the EU, if the UK leave she'll want to leave the UK and presumably hope that the EU will accept Scotland on it's own. Talk about the okey cokey!

I'm sure the EU would accept Scotland on its own. Might take a while, but it would be a great "Up yours" from the EU to the rest of the UK should we vote "Leave" (assuming the EU does not disintegrate in the meantime).
What I don't really get is why the SNP wants out of the UK but in to Europe, as many of the in/out arguments are the same but they seem to sit on opposite sides of the fence.

It is fairly simple.
The SNP want Scottish Independence, but want to be part of the EU. If the UK as a whole leave the EU, (but they Scottish voters voted to STAY) then they see that as a legitimate reason for another Independence vote. The Welsh will likely do the same.
Which will be ironic, leaving England with EU borders on the mainland. So instead of the Jungle being at Calais, it will be on the British mainland. Sounds like fun.

I have said this several times.
If the UK leave the EU it will end up with us having a land border with a EU country for the first time , ie Scotland. (possibly with Wales as well meaning two land borders!)
That means all EU residents will have unlimited access to Scotland and can just walk over the border to England . The channel will no longer be a barrier to non EU migrants as they will all be able to travel to Scotland
( almost certainly we would be compelled to allow 'transit' through England to Scotland and or Wales ! with a few getting 'lost' along the way)

Compelled? By whom. How would that work. They're having trouble compelling EU countries to allow free movement. Compelling non-EU countries, no chance.

We'll build a proper border then. Anyway why has that not happened in Ireland? You are assuming that Wales/Scotland would go independent? What if the Welsh and Scotts also voted to leave the EU? I mean are they going to announce the results by region and overall? I think the EU philes are totally underestimating the anti EU feeling.

The UK includes Northern Ireland, which has a land border with the Republic of Ireland!
Most countries across the world do not allow free movement of people between themselves and their neighbours who they share a land border with. In that respect, we would be no different.

Svejk It make little difference. All EU residents would have the right to unlimited travel to an independent Scotland or Wales that were in the EU, so they can just cross back into England by walking over the Border no matter what route they took to Scotland or Wales . The non EU migrants currently at Calais and the other channel ports would have the right to travel to an EU Scotland or Wales , just as they are allowed to travel North from Greece once they register as having entered the EU. Again how they get there is of little interest, as they can just cross the land border into England, as the EU residents would be able to do. Remember we CAN NOT !!! send them back to Greece as it has been ruled to be an 'Unsafe Country'
