Daily Express today calls for the burka to be banned. What chance of that? Does anyone think it shouldn't be and if so why?

While well-meaning people continue to defend it the voiceless will remain oppressed and the rest will continue to laugh at our naivety. It is a uniform that has no place in western society. It should be banned.
IF there are some women who choose to wear it then that number will be very, very low in % terms. I have followed many Muslim women on Twitter to get their views on subjects such as this, not one of them supports the wearing of a burka. Furthermore there are many Muslim women who don't support the wearing of a hijab.
I'm on the whole they will just stop wearing their burka, some may even go back to their country of origin and some may never leave their house again. When any law like this is introduced there are victims unfortunately, but these will be victims of their husbands! It may also discourage others coming to this country.
