So, everyone who said 'let them in' is responsible for Brussels..

Is this a realistic assessment?

I totally recognise that line of thought.

Not new to me.
Is New Judge a judge? It's been mentioned on here before that he isn't but he doesn't answer..

Who do you think is the most interested in race issues on AB?

I mean...who raises the largest number of threads about race?

Is it me?
Now you see, SP, that is precisely what you shouldn’t be doing – playing the race card. Why do you insist on aligning yourself with these people and why on earth do you want them here? I simply do not understand it at all. They and their ethnic origins bear no resemblance to you and your ethnic origins whatsoever. Why can’t you understand that?
ummm...whilst I can't actually remember NJ stating whether he is (or was) a judge, he is by a country mile the most learned (pronounced lerr-ned) when it comes to judicial matters on AB.

I've always assumed he must have spent a lot of time in court in some capacity.

Not as an accused person!

Sorry but I shall not be dictated to and will write what I want on AB without having my posts censored by the likes of you.

Only kidding...I have always wanted to use the 'likes of you' line, which has been popularised by other posters on AB. Horrible innit.

In seriousness - I have heard that line from divebuddy before...but don't get me wrong...no-one has actually said it to me...I've just heard it a number of times (on AB mostly).

I wasn't having a go at divebuddy...honest. I was simply pointing out that this is something that I've heard before.

Am I allowed to say that?

Or should I not comment?
divebuddy

Back to you - who's the most obsessed by race issues on AB?

Go on...have a look at the last 49 threads, and get back to me.

I would be fascinated to see who you come up with...see if it's the same as me.

We can make it a competition!
SP, As you have said you can say what you like, but I don't understand why you align yourself to these people or why you want them here. They wouldn't feel the same way about you.
we're up to nearly 130 answers and all you have done SP, is nit pick as to whether the purps are Belgian or not. Do you not have a constructive point to make?
naomi24

Why are you saying that I align myself to these murderers?

How dare you.

Seriously...I'm curious as to why you insist on putting words in my mouth.

Why do you think that this means that I align myself with terrorists:

"I recognise that like of thought

Not new to me"

The fact is - I actually recognise divebuddy's thought process, because he is expressing something that I've heard for year. Not necessarily directed at me, but the whole 'a dog born in a stable is still a dog, not a horse".

It's a very old phrase.

Have you not heard it?
ToraToraTora

It's not notpicking. It's absolutely central to Hopkins point. Let me simplify it for you.

I was born in the UK. I've lived in London all my life. If I were to go out and 'do a Hungerford'...in what way would it be anything to do with Jamaicans entering the country this year?
Hang on!

I've just clocked something...

You three are pulling my leg, aren't you!??

Okay.

You've got me.

However, I reserve the right to get you back on a subsequent thread.

I bow.
SP, I didn’t say you’re aligning yourself with these murderers. Who is putting words into whose mouth? I do, however, think you’re aligning yourself with the migrants and I don’t know why. Simply because they come from foreign parts I presume - which is no reason at all really.

Yes, I have heard that phrase.

You wrote:

"Why do you insist on aligning yourself with these people and why on earth do you want them here?"

Who were referring to?
-- answer removed --
Because that's how it works on AB, sp... any crime committed, you shout out the first and most obvious cliche that springs to mind...

It's because they're a Muslim/ black/ an immigrant (delete as appropriate).

It saves all that annoying..."thinking" thing...
sp, //Who were referring to?//

The current influx of migrants.
Pixie, //It's because they're a Muslim/ black/ an immigrant (delete as appropriate....It saves all that annoying..."thinking" thing... ). //

Well, that gem of dubious wisdom certainly seems to have saved you all that annoying..."thinking" thing...
What about the current influx of immigrants?

Do you think that my mother and father didn't have people like you saying exactly the same thing about them?

This is why I cannot join you in your broad brush condemnation of immigrants, because I have family who have had to deal with your ilk.

I'm not saying that you're not entitled to your opinion, of course you are...but allow me not to slate all incomers, and allow me not to join in with the chorus of "second, third, fourth - it doesn't matter etc".

It's just not my point of view.

Do you understand how the immigration debate may be coloured (no pun intended) by someone's familial background?
