No
Better still, lets take all these foreigners back to Dover and push them back into the water...it will serve them right !
I certainly feel we don't need any new ones in the UK. As for closing down existing ones it depends what nefarious activities can be proved to exist inside them. !
We would need a reason surely?

After the Paris attacks, there were raids by security services and a number of mosques were closed.

But what would our reasons be?
Good luck getting a meaningful discussion started anywhere important. Too many dodgy characters have friends in high places.
As long as the cash keeps flowing and there's no documentary evidence of wrongdoing, our politicians will just keep taking and tut-tutting now and then.
it would be a bad move to compulsorily close anylest retribution attacks occur , but do not allow any new ones
///But what would our reasons be?///
Islamaphobia
Bang on the nail Danny !
Close them Down and they shift underground and really give the (generally) young disaffected Muslims something to hate.

Far better to monitor and act against those that insite, teach and train hate. Although to be fare our soft and wholly establishment and, as it seems to me, moderate Muslims, will neither act or denounce in any meaningful way that behaviour so hmmm not sure now.
cassa333, //Close them Down and they shift underground and really give the (generally) young disaffected Muslims something to hate. //

Young disaffected Muslims (and the not so young) work 'underground' anyway, albeit under the cover of some mosques. Nothing would give them more reason to hate. They're consumed by hatred.
Religious suppression is not usually a good policy. As long as each religion stays within the law, and don't expect special laws or exceptions for them, then why wouldn't we allow folk to believe and practice the religion they feel is right for them ?
OG...see dannys answer !
Mikey, Danny's answer is a cop out and so is your agreement with it. Islam is creating serious problems in the west, and that must be addressed.
mikey or Danny, give me your definition of Islamaphobia

I'm referring to the UK population as a whole not a small percentage of less tolerant, more scared, and unable to see 'shades of grey', folk.

"An official UK government document describes the group's purpose: "The aim of both SSP and LeJ is to transform Pakistan by violent means into a Sunni state under the total control of Sharia law.
Another objective is to have all Shia declared Kafirs [non-believers] and to participate in the destruction of other religions, notably Judaism, Christianity and Hinduism.
The BBC has obtained copies of the group's in-house magazine, Khalifat-e-Rashida, spanning the years both before and after its proscription.
They show that both the men in Scotland used their mosques to hold events in SSP's honour and further its teachings."

I wouldn't suggest the closing of mosques willy-nilly, but what goes on in these two, doesn't exactly sound like a vicarage tea party.

Fear of all things Islamic.
Talbot...only too happy to oblige !

You really must learn to use Google one of these days you know !

Ah...I think I see what you mean now.

You're not talking about randomly closing down mosques. Just those that have been identified as recruitment grounds for fundamentalists.

100% agree with you there.
