Delusional, soya latte sipping knobs.
Well they've no flooded the answerbank with posts on the subject...
They'd better not try and hug me .....!!

Strange that this German chose a Nigerian/British fellow to illustrate her Hug A Brit Campaign?
Is he not British?

//"Mug A Brit" would be more appropriate for what the EU does to us.//

No he has chosen to call himself Nigerian/British.
As I keep saying, I love Europe and many European friends -
but NOT the EU!

Giving me a hug won't change that.
"Oh, what a tangled web we weave
When first we practice to deceive"
Sir Walter Scott.

"But when we've practiced for a while
How vastly we improve our style!"
J.R.Pope.
:-)
From the OP it sounds like some is still unaware of the typical British character even after being here for a while ;-)
Vive la différence
Ah... the "can't be British if you're black" then?
What nonsense.

oh come on r-c you were gonna write:

"mugga brit is what happens when you visit Sarf Landon"

Note: I almost have the chav accent right - and note" visit" not "live".
No one in their right mind would live there

but you thought again: no I want a quiet afternoon .....
// When first we practice to deceive" Sir Walter Scott.

two points - practice should have an 's' in it - advice and advise will tell you which way to go.

Sorry to beat the drum: advice is the noun and has a 'c' in it and advise is a verb and has an 's' in it. There are times when I dread ( abut nd others when I welcome ) the thousand posts of " woss ee on a bart - advice n advise yeah innit ? "

and J R Pope must have been a boy when he wrote that
I cant get the first line to be longer than a tetrameter
[ yeah yeah I know I asked for it - cue a thousand " a tet-wot-a-meter ? woss dat when it's at home eh yeah innit ? " ]
Other suspects are Dorothy Parker well she must have written that when she was mostly possed - as she usually was.
or anon ...
PP - the easiest way to explain 'practice' vs 'practise' is to remember that you can see (c) a noun. Much simpler. :)
Since it only HUG a Brit, the answer must surely be yes...
Practice.
// to do something again and again in order to become better at it//

I am sure that Sir Walter was alluding to the noun. The reference "when first" tells us that practitioner indeed needs practice to become skilful, and therefor over complicates the deceit.
Surely this pathetic nonsense is only in the media to show how ridiculous it is?
Sadly 'Orders', I think that they are deadly serious. Gesture politics for the people Douglas was thinking of at 11.23.
