What should we do, drag anyone who is not white kicking and screaming into the police service, lower the standard of the entrance exam for non whites, any other suggestions?

Since a large proportion of ethnic minorities are Eastern European, I wonder if they are fairly represented?

Employer: I am sorry you are not good enough for the job.

Applicant: Why not?

Employer: You did not reach the required standards that we are looking for.

I think that answers the question.
Odd how black folk in other parts of the country reach the required standards then is it not? Is there something about the black folk in those forces' areas that makes them different from other black folk?

Could the answer be there is a prejudice against black folk in those forces? Who knows?

Yes it is possibly as simple as that.

On a percentage level if there is a very small community and that is mainly (but not totally) inhabited by whites, then there is less chance percentage wise of a non white person, either applying or even successfully gaining the said qualifications.
In Northern Ireland they run recruitments for Catholic only. So what is the difference?

ANOTHEOLDGIT, if on average, 1% of folk applied for a vacancy in a population of 100,000 adults there would be 1,000 applicants. If the general population were 98% white and 2% black that means, of the 1,000 applicants, twenty would be black but you are suggesting there may be none whatsoever and that there has never been an application in any of the four forces from black folk. How likely is that scenario?
Yes Wolf, there is not enough Catholics in the police service so they run special batches!
There was a scheme whereby the recruitment for the PSNI was 50/50 Protestant/Roman Catholic but that ran from 2001 and ended in 2011 although I believe there is a suggestion it be re-introduced as the percentage of Roman Catholics has fallen.

Yes it is possible that no black persons have applied, unless of course you can prove that some have?

Regarding your percentage figures, don't they prove that with such a high percentage of white applicants and a very small percentage of black applicants, there is much more chance for whites to be successful, than the small number of black applicants?

It's called "positive discrimination" perhaps that is what they are after in this case?

No I have not, how could I possibly know that?

I have no proof that black folk have applied and by your own argument, it MUST follow that no black person has.
You have to be the rudest man I have ever had the displeasure to communicate with.

I have made contributions to your threads and you totally ignore them, this has got even worse recently with people picking up bits of my answer and using them in response to you, you will respond to them but not to me!!
