Errr I think you may have "missed" something somewhere. I do not want the UK run by cheats and liars of any creed. Particularly the French or German type under the umbrella of an unelected EUSSR. "You Man Rites",(murderers and rapists only need apply) haha and cheap day wage labour.

I think jomifl need have no fears about Brexit. Figures vary, but there are about as many French people living in the UK, mostly in London and availing themselves of the NHS as UK citizens living in France receiving reciprocal health care.
The roads of Britain are saturated with cars made in Germany and France with only a minuscule amount of cars manufactured in Britain on the roads in the EU, - they need the UK more than the UK needs them.
The EU in its present form is a failed experiment, a monstrous non-democratic, out of control political nightmare incapable of being reformed from the bottom up. Brexit would not only be good for Britain it would be good for the EU too because it will have to re-invent itself along more democratic lines.

Can I, very seriously, ask anyone tending towards staying in to look up EU Regionalisation policy, please. This was beginning to happen before we left France. We used to live in the Poitou-Charentes but a S.-W. France region was being created. It was huge.
Exeter is now the capital of the European union S.W. holiday region (there is a sign up saying so). Kent and Sussex will become part of the 'Trans-Manche Region', part of which will be in France and the administrative centre will be Calais. We will be part of the North Sea region, which will encompass bits of Denmark etc..
They are serious about this, I promise you that it has already started. I would like to think that Britain will remain Britain - it won't if we stay in and the process is accelerating. :)

How wrong you are old chap. I had parents from the Dalston in the East end of London, was born in a mill town in Lancashire, grew up in Walthamstow on a council prefab estate. An uncle was a notorious and successful bullion thief whom the police failed to consign to the clink. One of my last neighbours when I lived in the UK was a Hell's Angel rent-a-thug. I lived amongst the working/criminal classes for most of my life so I know them probably better than you, go easy on the assumptions you know nothing about me except what you may have read on here.

So no one doing 8 hour shift work then in an East London sweatshop, or legitimate employment 9 - 5 then? The criminals, movers a shaker, and thugs of the EUSSR are probably a familiar type methinks.

Khandro, sorry I still don't know how to do links (will look back and try to find out). I started by looking-up Exeter, Centre of EU region (because I was told about the sign and remembered what was happening in France) and went on from there. Eventually I put in 'EU Regionalisation Policy' - it's frightening if you plough through everything. I'm D****ed if I'll let Yorkshire disappear. It needs publicising - I've already told a few friends and may show myself up at our celebration B'B'Q this weekend for Q.E's. 90th by yelling out to all assembled that there will not be a country for a monarch to govern if we don't vote out. Not my scene, but I'll do it.
