Those who have studied history will know the principal reason why the UK came into being, that reason no longer existing.
If Scotland eventually remains part of the EU, England can just pass on all the immigrants, that'll quieten her down a bit.
NO, is she?

How did Scotland gain so much power? I can never remember any Scottish leader, going over to Germany to have separate talks with Hitler.

If they did they most likely finished up on the end of a rope.

Not a bad idea, they have plenty of sparsely inhabited Islands so as to accommodate them.
AOG, are you sober when you post and type your offensive and insulting remarks?
I'm surprised anyone in the EU can be bothered with informal talks. It's my understanding that Scotland itself has no EU status, the UK has, so Scotland can not retain what it doesn't have. That if the Scottish people cast themselves adrift as a separate nation and take the consequences of doing so then they could apply and hope for the best. Someone in the EU could have told her that over the phone.

Presumably she's hoping to get assurances that if she isolates Scotland as a nation they'll be a cert for immediate acceptance, or something like that. She should know better than to trust the words of politicians.
even soapy Salmond has made an official statement that Nicola knows fine well she can't block brexit !!..more people voted against separation that voted to stay in Eu...do shut up Nicola
I am really puzzled at the tactics of this Scottish woman, she wants Scotland to break away from the UK to get independence but then to link up with a foreign country & be ruled from Brussels. Hardly the thoughts of a sane & reasonable person.
Do I get the feeling that La Sturgeon is not exactly flavour of the month amongst all Scots?
It would be virtually impossible for Scotland to independently be part of the EU. There are so many specific detailed criteria that a country has to meet - having its own independent currency, it's own national bank, the list is endless, and Scotland simply doesn't meet most of them
exactly Whiskery, not exactly independent then is she?
silly moo
jack..she does NOT speak for Scotland...
Mere football tactics; Anyone But England.
that's the problem Minty (well, one of many) she thinks she does but she's yet another politico who is out of touch with the 'ordinary people'
...but the ordinary people did vote REMAIN.
thinks she is Queen of Scotland...wish some one would point out my stats to her as above !! and if even soapy is openly critical ..think she would pipe down...
but that is a quite separate issue to independence Jack..as part of the democracy of being in the UK we have to accept the outcome..not keep going on 'till she gets an outcome SHE wants....

You are the one that is obviously drunk, seeing that you are also very offensive and insulting towards me.

If you are sober enough please point out where I have been offensive and insulting.

This post is not included because I generally retaliate towards those who are rude to me.
Whether we like it or not. NS is the first of Scotland.
