Question seems a little misleading as these aren't formal negotiations but just a meeting or series of meetings, and there should hardly be anything wrong with that.

Even more evidence ( if any was needed) that Scotland will leave the UK and join the EU on its own or as a partnership with Northern Ireland and Wales (yes, I do know Wales narrowly voted 'leave', but the offer of a few £ billion in development funds may well change a few minds!)
I fully expect to see the end of the UK due to 'Brexit' !

She is assuming that the Scots who voted to exit the union would also do do in an independent Scotland. It is quite an assumption on her part. I am a little biased - she annoys me for some reason.

RETROCOP exactly my point,once they realise what they will lose a few more voters will be inclined to support joining the EU as a separate entity from England.

Any one know what credit rating Scotland would have if it wished to apply to join the EU? Seeing as we have now been down- rated ourselves would Scotland be so welcome to the club? I assume they can longer declare the Barnett formula an asset in the next two years if they leave us.

As for a credit rating, maybe a point or two higher than Greece, or Portugal or Spain or Italy?
