There have been a few of these types of reports. There was a lad of a UKIP member reported recently for being 'radicalised'. In both instances, the parent claims the child said something innocent but was victimised by the school. But why would a school do this to an innocent child? More likely, what the child actually said is not what the parent claims.

This is what happens when you try to stop a child being a child. They should not concern themselves with these matters at that age. They should be left alone and guarded and guided in the arduous process of growing up and developing as a person. Time enough, aged about 12, to introduce complex political ideas. We are mucking-up our kids, please let them be children....

Perhaps what is quoted isn't an accurate reflection of what was actually said by the child.

I think the leap of logic from stopping entry to "we are better than they are" is entirely inside that teacher's head. A flat statement like "A will cause B to stop" is just a statement (factual incorrectness is neither here nor there).

However, the mere parroting of rhetoric previously associated with the BNP, Britain First etcetera is "cause for concern" and some inspection of what is lodged in that brain is required to see if anything unpleasant needs to be washed out.

I have only worked in around 30 schools so they must have been unrepresentative of schools across the country as I have never met any such teachers- they all had far too much practical stuff to do like marking and planning schemes of work, lessons and parents' evenings. Maybe I need to read the Mail/Express more
