Postal voting should be for special circumstances only: armed forces overseas, people who will be out of the country for business or holiday on the day of the election.
As Nigel Farage observed on the day of the infamous Oldham by-election, postal votes were being delivered in box-loads.

The EU need to get their act together and listen to the people within its boundaries. The problem is the arrogance from the likes of Junker still abounds meaning the far right are gaining more and more ground.

There will be obvious exceptions, aog. But no-one can doubt that we're experiencing massive postal voting fraud in this country. And while I don't want to point the finger, it's the Muslims.

YMB....there is some truth in what you say but if the Austrian people vote in the Freedom Party it can only be their own fault.

I was watching Ch 4 News last night, and Geert Wilders of the Dutch Freedom Party was being interviewed.

When ogres like this can be on the cusp of being voted into power, its no use blaming Junker. Both these countries have a history of ultra-right-wing politics and they ought to know better.

Has history taught them nothing ?

Mikey, when people support either far right or far left politics there’s a reason. The problem is those reasons aren’t being addressed so if anyone is at fault it is the people who consistently dismiss them.

Agree with others that postal voting allows for corruption.

There you go again with your insults, one can go on trial for insulting people, It would seem by some that we should all be shaking in our shoes if a Far-right group gets in power, but strangely nothing is said regarding Far-Left groups.

AOG, that's why I said "wholesale", there are legit reasons for postal votes, blue badge holders certainly, but those that can vote in person should should not be allowed a postal vote.
