Mikey, //Boris has called Obama half-Kenyan ......an extraordinarily tactless blunder for a politician that is desperate to be taken seriously. //
Why is it a tactless blunder? Obama is half Kenyan. He said so himself.

"Half-Kenyan" wasn't the insult, it was "ancestral dislike of the British empire" - the full quote was:
"No one was sure whether the President had himself been involved in the decision. Some said it was a snub to Britain. Some said it was a symbol of the part-Kenyan President's ancestral dislike of the British empire - of which Churchill had been such a fervent defender."
The decision in question was the removal of a bust of Churchill from the Oval Office. Obama's response is here:

Interesting. a Turkish leader who refuses to see the legitimate concerns of his country joining the EU to those already in the EU but gets annoyed at them being pointed out: and a French politician who says a) that Johnson acts like a politician, and then b) says Johnson lied during the referendum, but neglects to give details. The French guy sounds like he was given the wrong ministerial role. I'm glad we don't have a foreign secretary who makes such gaffs.
