I am beginning to wonder, on hearing what the SNP leader is saying, that she has a veto for Brexit.

Why hasn't our PM, came out and said, that its untrue ?

She should openly admit it, so we know where we stand, keeping quiet makes me think The SNP leader is right.

By the way, what is stopping someone from within the EU coming from France to Ireland by Ferry, and then over the border to NI at the moment ?

I presume that passports are checked at the departure in France ?

So if that is the case, then someone from, say Poland, could quite legally travel from France to the UK, via Ireland.

I can't see that its in any interest for Ireland to let soon-to-be illegal immigrants into the UK.

So far as I am aware, Eire is not in the Schengen area.

Just because there is an agreement between Eire and Northern Ireland, that need not change on Brexit as it isn't EU related, it doesn't mean it's not monitored. Abuse would be noted and if spotted minor changes made to ensure abusers from outside Eire were identified and questioned.

Typical doublespeak. The third point contradicts the sixth and seventh points. Since Sturgeon doesn't want to leave the EU the only stalemate breaking agreement we will get from her is either an abandonment of the exit, or a more plausible option, so many concessions to EU demands that it is an exit in name only. Either the promise not to trigger Article 50 until 'UK approach' had been agreed, was a blatant lie, or May has given Sturgeon a veto to prevent any (worthwhile) exit. There is no other rational interpretation.

I think that May knows that should she try to backtrack or make concessions to Sturgeon she will not last five minutes.
