Then whose fault is it?

Corbyn is utterly at odds with his party and his MP's who hold an entirely different view that that expressed by the chicanery of an election process that brought him to power.

Of all the unelectable leaders Labour has had - and heaven knows they have had them - Foot / Kinnock / Milliband - and now him - he comes across as the most obstinate and unwilling to accept the situation and move away from power.

I must qualify my point - he is at odds with the Parliamentary Party, rather than the mass membership, which may or may not have been nobbled by dubious piece of electioneering - I couldn't possibly comment.

I think pig-headed stubbornness is one of the most unattractive character traits a politician can have - it finished Thatcher, it will finish Corbyn, it's only a matter of time.

I will show my bottom in Burton's window if Corbyn is still leader when the next election looms into view.

It's kind of fun to watch in a morbid way but, in fact, this could be the biggest disaster for UK democracy yet, leaving us with effectively only one legitimate choice of government for a long time yet. The only thing worse than that would be Corbyn actually winning the 2020 election...

When the Labour Party changed from an Electoral College to a one member one vote, the MPs function was to nominate 5 suitable candidates. But they couldn't even do that right. The present problem is entirely the result of the MPs nominating Corbyn in the first place.

Their sulking at the members electing the wrong candidate is pathetic.

The solution really is obvious. If the members and the leader are on the same side, but the MPs are not, then the MPs have to change or be removed.

The boundary change is the perfect time to do that, if the party is still in existance in 2018.

Should a couple of hundred selfish prannies be able to force him out? If they are indeed more important then change the party rules to reflect that. I don't think it's stubbornness in this case I think he's standing up to bullies. Dam you Labour for making me argue for a Labour leader!

There is nothing surprising about this.
The MPS are not going to suddenly start pretending Corbyn is anything other than utterly useless no matter who wins the leadership election.
Savaged by Theresa DeathMask at her first PMQ doesn't get much worse than that.
