Pc49 Changes Into Robo Cop
96 Answers
To all the Islamic sympathisers on here who often say, "we have always had killings on our streets" or "we have always had terrorism, just look at the IRA", I say this:
"That may well be, but the change from PC49 to Robo Cop, lies firmly at the door of ISLAM".

Thank you.
Even the court system can never guarantee that the wrong person is not convicted - the Timothy Evans case always comes to mind - so the concept of making instant decisions to shoot people on the street must mean that far more innocents die, and the notion that 'as long as some criminals are shot ... ' really doesn't make that a workable alternative.

So lets not arm our police and let the armed criminals run the show just so that a few innocent bystanders don’t get shot eh?
Innocent bystanders get shot by criminals too you know, an armed robber doesn’t walk into a bank armed with a sawn –off cucumber
Innocent bystanders sometimes get caught in crossfire, ‘wrong place wrong time’, innocent people die every day in tragic accidents on roads etc
If arming our police makes our streets safer then it’s worth the minimal collateral damage that may ensue

As long as that 'collateral damage' isn't you or yours.

joeluke - You have an amazingly cavalier attitude to life - others, if not especially your own.
I suspect if a terrorist was advancing towards you with a scimitar in his hands and a murderous look in his eyes, you might be a little less 'Well, when your ball stops rolling ...', and possibly take some evasive action, rather than shrugging your shoulders and accepting your fate.
Just a thought ...

/// The US has always had SWAT, it's about time we had our own unit to deal with riots,etc.. ///
No they haven't, they were introduced in the 1960s. but apart from that fact, the USA is a typical example why multi racialism and multiculturalism causes certain problems.
I said it numerous times, "when America sneezes, we catch the cold".

The police changed to fight IRA terror, and they have adapted to the current threat. As advances in science and technology are adopted, the kit the police use will also change.
The current main threat is Islamic State, the terrorist organisation. It is not at the door of the religion, but at the door of those who kill to further their political cause.

In Olivio's defence, she has only been with us for four days, and is probably still settling into the cut-and-thrust of debate on this section.
I am sure we can all allow her a little 'settling in' time before we jump on her for not knowing quite how we like to express views here.

I know we disagree on the fundamentals (no pun intended!) here, but I will reiterate my many previous points in this aspect of the debate -
I believe that Islam is a peaceful religion that has been hijacked by a small group of terrorists who use it as a cloak to hide their entirely secular and power-based aims, and to indulge in their terrorists activities in the belief that this gives them some level of pseudo-respectability - at least to each other.
