Aye, nobody's getting out of this alive.
It may not be everything in life but it does give a better standard of living and fewer worries. It isn't everything after death though.
It certainly isn't everything if you've popped your clogs. But it does help a bit whilst you are still alive.
Just proves that money can't buy you everything.
It is youngish to die, but he probably led a life the majority of us can only dream about. Money cushions a lot of worries. Sorry for his family.

I take the point that money cant buy you everything but I cant help thinking it is easier to cry in the back of a Bentley than it is on the back of a scooter.

Do not understand that people I know who now have plenty of money absolutely refuse to spend it. Literally penny pinching when they are on their way out or last stages of life. Their children do not need it.
The old saying goes something about "miserable in comfort". I'd rather be miserable in comfort than poverty. And I have experience of both. Not to the extent of this poor man, though.
Can't help wondering how much inheritance tax his estate will pay. My guess is nuffin.
Really? I doubt that.

Most of the landed gentry were bought to their knees by inheritance tax.
Thought most toffs were skint and had to open up their family homes to the public and offer 'cream teas'

When you watch a program like '60 minutes to save your life' which was on TV last night you realize just how good our NHS is. When something life threatening happens like a major heart attack or a serious accident it is the best on the planet and free !
Quite true, Eddie. But not so good if you got something that's not life threatening but extremely inconvenient or painful (e.g. cataracts, dodgy hips or knees, you know the sort of thing).
