His politics are a million miles from mine, but who couldn't like Jeremy Corbyn as a person, he is very polite, has a charming smile, rides a bike and lives in an ordinary house.

Oh and he doesn't recognise Ant and Dec and seems to have no interest in the Olympics.

Certainly a man of the people, or at least those who are not interested in such trivia.

/// But if he's not a big telly watcher, it's understandable, in the same way that someone with no interest in football will have trouble naming Man Utd's home ground. ///

Not quite the same thing sp, one is all about recognition while your other is about knowing and remembering a certain football related fact.
"who couldn't like Jeremy Corbyn as a person, he is very polite, has a charming smile, rides a bike and lives in an ordinary house. "

Steady on AOG: that's how these people work: they convince you they're "normal" and as soon as they get into No 10 they profess a lifelong devotion to Celebrity Big Brother and an encyclopedic knowledge of sport :-)
I think the fact that someone doesn't recognise them speaks well for that person.
not knowing who Ant and Dec are is good in my book!
who on earth is Ant & Dec ? & what is an Olympic ?
well riding a push bike is not a plus in my book and many pyschopaths have had a charming smile. Personally i couldn't give a toss about any PM’s legal and decent likes and interests, so long as they do a decent job of running the country.
Jezza's real love is manhole covers! Sorry, personhole covers.
It's not surprising he didn't recognise them. In the photo Ant is on the right and Dec on the left which has never happened before. It completely threw me as well for a while.
Corbyn has about as much chance of ever being PM as I have
Whilst the Olympics are mentioned I must say that I have never watched an Olympic Games where so many people are crying, not just winners and losers but also spectators.
Who cares that he doesnt recognize Ant an Dec. it' a positive in my book.

And lest face it the Olympics are trivia for quite a few, just because it doesnt float Jezza's boat (well it is a competition that his left ideals hate) doesnt mean he is a bad person or would make a bad leader(there are plenty of other thing that would stop that!)
That not a nice way to describe Dianne Abbott TTT.
'lives ion an ordinary house' Are you kidding?

But, yes, politics aside, he is a nice bloke. I'd like to have a pint with him.
I dont think he had much choice as to the home he was born into. It's how he has lived a an adult that matters surely?
I never said he did, but it's hardy 'ordinary'.
TBF I do share Jezza's interest in person hole covers myself, I like nothing more than a 24inch ductile with locked hinge and a drop in. I'm going to get me some of these: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/blogs-news-from-elsewhere-35696967

This is where he lives in North London.

Seems pretty ordinary to me.
Surely that's just his MP's bolt hole AOG. I could be wrong.

Ant a Dec? Do please explain? The only pair I know of going by that name should not be allowed out without a supervisor. Can't be that pair of clowns, surely!
