It seems that Nissan at least have not succumbed to project fear.

What a dour bunch of pessimists we have here. I’m convinced that rather than encourage thriving industry, and hence jobs, some would rather see business go down the tubes just so they can say ‘We told you so’. Miserable lot!

The SGB only listen to what they want to hear.
I didn't say I believed them, but it does have a bearing on the thread Doooougi babes.
Toyota, which has a massive factory in Derbyshire, has also pledged its future to the UK. It would seem, surprise surprise, that the only companies threatening sanctions are our erstwhile EU "partners".

Maybe they don't want us to buy their cars ..... but I doubt it. ;o)
We seem to have entered some parallel universe where the state intervenes to ensure jobs are saved, and it's the lefties that are whingeing about it.

Why are these remainiacs objecting to any guarantees the government might be giving.

If it keeps certain large manufacturing groups based in this country, thus saving jobs and creating jobs, it has only got to be a good thing.

Or would these remainiacs rather like to see all these manufacturers leave the country, plus mass unemployment, just so they could say "we told you so"?

Wow! they really can't get over losing the referendum can they, throwing their dummies out of their prams is one thing but................????????
Amazing that some will criticise the government, for saving British jobs, yet they never moan about the billions spent abroad.

/// Amber Rudd has agreed to foot the £36 million cost of closing the Calais camp ///

/// UK has already said it would pay £80 million for patrolling French ports ///

/// UK has given a total of £920million in aid to Syrian refugees since 2011 ///

Plus the £16 Billion spent on overseas aid.

Still no answer to my earlier question. Can someone provide me with a link to the bribe many have stated as being given please?
Do you seriously imagine, YMB, that there will be somewhere a media source with a quote from Theresa May along the following lines?
"Yes, of course we offered Nissan a bribe in order to ensure that they remain in Britain. Clearly, however, we cannot reveal anything about it, as we've made it plain that the British should know nothing at all about anything to do with the government's Brexiting arrangements."
