We have to make sure that scenes like these never come to our capital.

Andy, It's not so much the nationality issue as AOG believing we have a right to riot, which concerns me.
There could be something in their genes, that makes them want to fight, and if you had seen ''Chasing Asylum, Inside.Australia's Detention Camps Offshore'' last night on BBC4, they were the same, fighting, demanding, smashing up their living quarters etc.

Sorry, no sympathy from me.

Gromit, //It looks to be about a dozen people. From the over hype I imagined Paris devastated. It probably took 5 minutes to tidy up. //

There are thousands of migrants living on the streets of Paris. OK, they weren't all involved in the fracas but nevertheless men running amok wielding weapons and fighting isn't something to be shrugged off with complacency. It matters! They're turning Paris into a pigsty! Doubtless, in the circumstances, that's an inappropriate turn of phrase, but I can't think of a more fitting one. What’s happening in Paris is horrendous! Thank heavens for the English Channel!!

^^^ Yes, John of Gaunt was right!
Islay, Naomi always debates her points - as one is supposed to.
Thanks Jourdain.
I saw on the late RT news last night, that it kicked off again, and nothing on BBC or ITV about it!
trt, the media will keep it low profile - just as it keeps many other things concerning migrants and Islam low profile.
Nothing about the latest troubles then. No surprise.
I see melodrama is a theme on here tonight.
I beg your pardon then, it was reported to have happened after the incident in the OP and with this comment I presumed that's what it was.

//But the protest came just hours after shocking images showed brawling migrants yards away from the Stalingrad camp.//

mamyalynne, I think it refers to the troubles mentioned in the OP/

//SCORES of migrants and pro-immigrant militants protested against police brutality in Paris - just a day after horror scenes of fighting gangs were captured on the same streets.//

Now they want their 'rights'.
Yes, after - as trt said 'it kicked off again'.

Anyway sorry to have wasted your time.
Mamyalynne, no need to be snotty - your link is informative - it's just that I don't see anything there to suggest it kicked off again - simply that they are now protesting at the way the police treated them when it kicked off originally.
