Why does Jeremy Corben refuse to sing the National Anthem, I can't remember seeing the reason in the press.

Perhaps he is anti Royalist, think I read that somewhere.
Not seen any reason given but he has stated that royalty should be abolished.

It is to me Baldric!!
I thought that he sang it at the Cenotaph.....I may be mistaken.
Because he has the mind of a truculent leftie student who wants to stick 2 fingers up to the establishment in the body of a a hideous mouldy old grape. I can't bear to look at him.
So do you fancy him Prudie ^^^^....;-)
Don't sit on the fence Prudie
Prudie - the other view is that he is a man of conviction, and his convictions are not to be adapted for the purposes of being seen to conform on camera.
you could always email the labour party protocol office
they should know

does corbo sing the national anthem
if not why not
Such convictions, while laudable, are not those befitting a future prime minister nor even a memebr of parliament. That's my view obviously.
I agree with Prudie. He's a rapidly ageing hippie who never grew up.

I am not a supporter of Mr Corbyn, but I do admire his unwillingness to compromise his beliefs because he has come within shouting distance of leadership.

Doing so probably helps to render him unelectable, but to do so would make him a hypocrite - and that is far worse in his view, and in that, I a agree with him.
While I do not support Jeremy Corben Charles Bradlaugh was once bombarded with insults, faced imprisonment and bankruptcy for his beliefs

Mine too. He's an idealist. Nothing wrong with that, but a PM needs to be a pragmatist. He's fine when he's protesting about things, but I suspect would be clueless if he had to be the one actually having to do the things, while others protested about them.
//a PM needs to be a pragmatist. //

The common sense to employ a smidgeon of diplomacy helps too.
The answer to the OP seems to be that Jeremy Corbyn does sing the National Anthem.
Maybe he thinks it is just a crap song which it is.
We are a nation full of talented songwriters, surely we should have a better national anthem.
Perhaps Elton could bash one out when he isn't doing Disney themes.
