Why does Jeremy Corben refuse to sing the National Anthem, I can't remember seeing the reason in the press.

As I have said, I do admire Mr Corbyn for his principles, but I do wonder whether he is so keen to cling to them because he is safe in the knowledge that compromise is never going to be required of him, because high office will never be in his future.

My own theory is that he secretly doesn't want to win an election andy. because he knows he couldn't do the job. He's a professional protestor, and his quite happy with his current position as deified leader of the most influential protest group in the country - Her majesty's opposition.

Up to him really. But as pointed out if he has ambitions on high office sometimes you have to be diplomatic.
I dont see that being an anti royalist is the cause. I am anti royal and certainly not religious but happy to sing the National anthem because I am patriotic and I think it means more than the words.
