Perhaps he considers her the best candidate for the job. Not for diversity reasons and not for her politics?

Trump is a businessman. He will only harbour grudges where it is in his interest to do so, otherwise he will just move on to the next thing to sort out.

The machinations of the political system are beyond our 'outsiders' comprehension. Positions of power and their commensurate salaries seem to trump (pun intended) previous disagreements.

Oh I agree Zacs: if Donald was to leave out any candidate who either he had insilted, or who had insulted him, then there wouldn't be many left. All the stuff said before the election needs to be swept away.
And lets get back to "normal" politics.
It's very good news and hopefully backs up his pointed attack on the US Nazis

Well if he does something worth praising ... praise him.
If he does something worthy of scorn then slate him.

That seems a much more sensible approach than just wasting your life obsessing about every little piece of un PC rhetoric that leaves his mouth.

He could find a cure for cancer and some people would still find fault somewhere.

I think this is a great indicator of Trump being swallowed up (or perhaps learning very quickly) by the political system. there will be dozens of people advising his on appointments. To believe it's entirely his own decision would be
