Pmqs: Jeremy Corbyn Claims Theresa May In Denial On Nhs
http:// www.bbc .co.uk/ news/uk -politi cs-3858 2285
I know Corbyn doesn't have many supporters of this mainly Tory AB, but I think he has got Mrs May on the run here.
If the Royal College of Nurses, the Royal College of Physicians, the BMA , and the Red Cross all say that we have a huge crisis, why won't she do something about the situation ?
She has so far refused to acknowledge that the Red Cross.are correct...is she in denial or is the NHS still safe in Tory hands ?

" - put the dummy back in ZM, the medical staff are less than half of the NHS they work hard and are well respected the problem is that the organization has more clerks than beds, more managers than doctors, more statisticians that nurses. It needs a clear out. F\F\S I was met by a Greeter last time I went in there! It's full of union luvvies empire building, that's the problem.
I'm afraid you are spot on there TTT. The management structure is so bloated and mini empires are being built daily that there is no cash left for front line staff. Indeed many of these management staff seem to think the NHS purely exists simply to fulfill their career and gold plated pension requirements.
Mickey, the NHS was not safe in labour hands nor would it still be.
It is people like you using the NHS as a political football that cause it to be in the state it is. YOU and your like will kill it off if you don't stop as you prevent any Government from totally restructuring it, which is well needed now.

ZM: you mean this question: "Could you just let me know how the abundance of managers relates to union luvvies empire building? " - it's managers and admin staff, generally the union attitude is that the job is more important because it's a job than the function of the Job. That is generally a Union attitude. The NHS is heavily infested with this and thus you have huge acreage of admin function for the sake of it manged by those that manage those sorts of things. The NHS could manage on half what it gets if it was run using sound principles but it's a state bureaucracy than politicians of all kinds are terrified of sorting.
So Mickey, do you want to just pour more money in, which will just dissappear, or do you want to reform it so it is fit for the 21st Century and the challenges that brings?
Or would you rather keep using it as a political football until it breaks just to prove a point?
And I will answer your question, no I dont belive any of them when they say they need more money. All have some sort of vested interest and the words used by thee Red Cross we just plain stupid. I do believe there are problems but money is not the answer

\\\\\Sqad....do you believe the BMA, RCN, RCP, and the Red Cross ? \\\
Working in the NHS for around 30+ years, I hate to admit this and i stand to be regarded as a cynic, but i receive with deep skepticism any statistic or work study that emanates form the NHS , any Governmental organisation or any allied body to health care in the UK.
Fiddling the figures to benefit one's own course, is rife in the NHS.
Yes.....of course there is a crisis and has been for the past 35 years in my opinion and experience. More women in Medicine, Gordon Brown increasing the GP's pay whilst reducing their on call time,.etc.etc has all caused the "crisis" in the NHS. Aneurin Bevan would be turning in his grave, wondering where it all went sour.
Big...big ..problem and when i have highlighted this over the years, my posts have been ripped to shreds as "knocking the NHS."
I have no idea as to where we go from here.
