I think he deserves a chance to prove himself as a good leader and he may well do that. He's certainly a successful businessman.

It was reported on the news this morning that Trump said he won't be working weekends. Good luck with that Mr Trump!

ummmm, I think there might be a bit of spin going on there, but what's new? I've had a quick google and all I can find is a satirical piece about an article in The Times in which Trump said he wouldn't work this coming weekend but would consider next Monday to be day one.

https://www.rawstory.com/2017/01/stephen-colbert-mocks-trump-for-refusing-to-work-on-day-one-and-taking-the-weekend-off/
Yes, I would agree some spin going on but it wouldn't surprise me if he thought he could have weekends off.
Well, everyone needs to sober up after the inauguration party.
Change I expect, but unity is a completely different matter.
Question Author
ummmm, it would surprise me. Successful businessmen don't assume they can take weekends off. Far from it.

vortex, He’s about to become president and there’s nothing anyone can do about that. I hope his critics at least have the sense to wait and see.
Hate him or love him, at least he has sworn to make America great again.

Pity our leaders don't follow suit and:

"MAKE BRITAIN GREAT AGAIN"
Naomi24,I think from what we have seen and heard,DT faces a stiff task to win over his detractors. But,you are right, once he is officially sworn in we shall see what he is made of.If he promises much and delivers little then he will come under heavy pressure.
Vortex - has your space bar broken?
Question Author
vortex, indeed.
AOG - I wonder how DT proposes to make America 'great again' (however that is measured??). He won't get away with saying things and not following them through once he is sworn in. Still, time will tell.

Do you not consider that Theresa May and her government will not make Britain 'great'? After all, isn't it also early days?

Ummmm - is that better? ;-)
Brilliant. So much easier to read :-)
//MAKE BRITAIN GREAT AGAIN"//

Britain is great its just your refuse to see it.
Islay - you may have noticed, I have started a new thread on the subject as I thought there was a risk Naomi24'a thread may lose focus ;-)
The proof of the pudding.......
Question Author
Well I apologise for responding to this thread then!
Thanks Naomi24.
Question Author
Islay, no need to apologise.
