Let's say you were a vehement Remainer, or an adamant Brexiter, and your partner had opposing views to you - how would you handle it?

If you were a staunch Labour supporter, and your partner was a firm Kipper, would you simply avoid talking about politics?

My partner and I have differing political views. He comes from a Labour family but has turned to the other side! I am Lab.
He is a Brexiter while I'm a Remainer.
He tries to persuade me that his way is the best way, but I just ignore him.

sounds completely radio to me. Should not effect a solid marriage. Oddly enough MrsTTT and I did not agree on the choice for POTUS but we do agree on UK politics mostly.

I always refuse to tell himself how I vote, it's no-one else's business. We certainly don't discuss issues.

I know of some people who have have enormous rows over Brexit, but it's been intergenerational, rather than spouses.

I think it's best to keep political views private within a partnership...

No. I'd think he'd run mad and I daresay we'd have some discussions on it; then we'd agree to differ. A loving marriage encompasses differences...... how many examples would you like!!!

My mum and dad used to vote on opposite sides. They never really discussed it after they agreed that their votes cancelled each other out, so they wouldn't bother going to the poll.

Of course, they didn't stick to this. They both went and voted, separately.
