mamya; I didn't say in the OP that she was a national treasure, I asked if she was becoming one.
She has only been in the job for a short time and she is constantly in the news for her forthrightness and I think you will see more of her in the coming years. When I look at all the insipid women (Fiona Bruce types) on TV earning vast salaries, she stands out a mile.
She has served in H.M. Forces, and first won my full approbation when having won The Apprentice, she told Alan Sugar where to stick his job.

divebuddy - My main objection to Ms. Hopkins is that she is pulling down a five-figure salary for doing what the pub bore does for free!

She takes a 'fish-in-a-barrel' topic like Tony Blair telling the electorate that they are too thick to know what they voted for with Brixit, and honks away for twenty minutes about what a deluded idiot he is.

There is no skill in that - you could do it, I could do it, we are both more than opinionated enough, and happy to share our views and discuss them at length.

It's money for nothing, as the song says - and that is why I tend to jump on when a tread dissing her pops up.
