People have such short memories !
They always forget that Blair rescued Britain from years and years of nasty Tory rule. When he and the Labour Party were elected in 1997, it was with the biggest majority that had been seen in modern times, larger even then 1945. He then won a further 2 more Elections and would probably gone on to win a third, if he had not handed over the reins to Brown. Even then, in 2010, the LibDems had to hold their collective noses, and prop up a shaky Tory administration.
Throughout his terms in Downing Street, he had large, workable majorities, something the Tories have yet to achieve since 2010 and can only dream of.
hereiam...you mention being deluded....enough people were "deluded" to make sure everything above happened .....millions of people voted Labour, even in 2010 and 2015.

Emmie....the difficulty is that if you couldn't bring yourself to vote for Blair, than you couldn't vote Labour. In Britain, there are only two alternatives for a workable Government, Labour or the the Tories.
So if you couldn't vote for Blair in 1997, 2001, and 2005, you might as well have voted Tory. Thank goodness not enough people did.
