Yes, everything which can reasonably be done is being done to protect the public, further action in this area would be to turn the country into a police state like the former DDR.
If there is no more to be done defensively , then it is logical that it is time to start offensive action. (see my above post)

I wasnt asserting but showing that a statement of the form

because they are muslim they must be terrorists
is illogical as a generally true statement
because "because they were catholic, the irish must be terrorists" has been rejected by vocal posters

and everyone has concluded such a statement about the irish was 'stupid' or 'idiotic' - ( hence it cannot be generally true)

but havent QUITE made the jump to.... and so
a general statement about muslims is equally stupid or idiotic

as I would say how depressingly stupid and illogical statements from the usual suspects are - do they learn ? nope
do they even bother to try to construct a logical argument ? nope
does a lot of it make sense ? nope
does ANY of it make sense ? yeah sometimes not often....

Another point I wish to ask is why was the policeman (who was killed) not armed, if he was as reported a member of the protection squad, and did he not wear a stab vest?

AOG...It seems that if he was armed, he might still be alive today....ditto with the stab vest. Questions need to be asked.

I think the policeman who was stabbed was working inside the perimeter fencing which was guarded by other officers. Perhaps it hadn't occurred to anyone that a terrorist would manage to get past the policemen on the gate.

aog, as I understand it he crashed the car into the fence, got out, and amid all the mayhem the crash had caused he just ran in through the gates.

Thanks Khandro. The fundamental problem remains unrecognised. Until we stop pussyfooting around the Muslim population and acknowledge the stark reality of what Islam actually is it will continue to grow in the west and we will never defeat it.

I understood the car was crashed into the fence at the end of the bridge, which looked quite a way from the entrance.

It is quite in order for you to defend moderate Muslims, but the problem is that from the midst of these 'moderate' Muslims cometh 'extreme' Muslims.

So some action needs to take place, might be inconvenient to moderate Muslims, but that is the price we must pay.

Personally I would have thought the best way to answer people saying 'stuff' about Islam is not to go out and kill people but to rise above it and prove you are the religion of peace by NOT killing people ... surely that is the way to shut up opponents of Islam?
