jno, a necessity – and a sensible one. I have no problem with it. Emmie, Unless a lot of lights go on in a lot of brains, I don’t think we will fight it. If that doesn’t happen, when push comes to shove the liberals who fundamentally dictate the way in which the rest of us should behave, will call it ‘democracy’ and roll over and accept it, all the while...
AOG - //They are perfectly easy recognisable without the need for badges. //
No danger of racial / religious stereotyping there then!
Beware of being in the situation I was in the week of 911 - a woman in my office was holding forth in less than flattering terms about 'murdering Muslims all being the same, should be shot ...' when the temp lady who had been with us for a couple of weeks, and was both local and white, quietly advised us that she was a Muslim, and that they are not 'all the same' at all.
BTW AOG - since you appear to believe Muslims are 'perfectly easily recognisable' - maybe you could refine your skills a little, and isolate the terrorists among them as well.
If you can do that by sight, I think the security services would love a call from you!
we honestly don't know what is being espoused in Mosques,
we don't know what kind of action is advocated in so called faith schools. Radical Islam is not a dream, its there in our living rooms, on our streets, ranting and raving individuals
about Sharia Law being being part and parcel of British life, well that is already here. Why should we have separate laws, courts, including Jewish ones, i am not comfortable with this at all.
i did say faith schools, but i believe they can be a breeding ground for radical Islamification to take a hold. Free schools of which any number are faith schools.
Mikey, //as Muslims come from lots of different countries, who would we declare war on ?//
I've been telling you that for a long time but it's fallen upon blind eyes, so the next time you’re ready to jump to their defence by telling us that most of the terrorists are ‘home grown’, why don’t you just pause for a moment and think – really think - about that? You never know, the penny may eventually drop.
SP, //We don't know what is being taught in Muslim schools. //
Actually, we do. Just as an example, did you ever see Richard Dawkins talking to a group of girls and their science teacher at an Islamic faith school? It's on YouTube. Those girls were taught that the mountains were created to pin down the earth. That's Islamic science for you - and it's being taught in faith schools in this country.
Let's say Europe turns its back on the Middle East and went to other territories for energy resources - what would happen to the price of those oil products?
They would go through the roof.
Remember - in this scenario, we've given up on our financial dependence on the ME, so whether the price of oil in (say) Saudi dropped, it wouldn't make any difference, because we would have to divest ourselves from the ME economy.
naomi
i have seen any number of footage from faith schools,
including the Richard Dawkins one, staring at the screen in unbelief at how much they are ignorant.
The fact that so many terrorist attacks in recent years were carried out by Muslims should not be overlooked by anyone - but neither should the fact that the overwhelming majority of Muslim terror attacks are carried out by Wahhabists. The house of Saud is the biggest single sponsor of Wahhabi ideas - if it's war you want, that's where it will end up.
yes all of them. I went to a church school, and cannot remember why, except it was mooted as a good school.
its teaching of Christianity was once a week visit to the church.
I didn't learn anything i didn't know.
I should've been clearer - we don't know what's being taught in Islamic schools with regards to inter-faith relationships - and how/whether radicalism is inherent across the board.
Richard Dawkins is an utter hero of mine, but I've not seen that video, only his Brexit video.
