//The trip was not all blissfully trouble-free, of course//
Backs my opinion up, who could be happy with all that groping?
Not sure what to think about this.
//In Egypt, one randy tuk-tuk driver got his comeuppance following a juicy bum squeeze by being beaten to a pulp by the police convoy on my tail - my horror at their brutality only outdone by my undisguised glee.//
Aside from someone hi-jacking the thread and turning it into another history lesson (yawn) the story is interesting - not least because this lady advises that in the main, she received hospitality and respect from almost everyone she met, including those who are perceived automatically as women-hating terrorists by western media, and the audience who read and believe what they say without thought.
For proving that there are good and bad people everywhere, and the majority of them are good - she deserves our interest and respect.

I imagine this lady was no less 'happy' with it than any lady commuters who experience it on the London tubes five days a week, and you can't lay blame for that on Muslims - the tubes are full of white Englishmen in suits!
Aren't the overpacked trains in Japan notorious for groping...and worse? The culture is not known for being favourable to women.
Not many Muslims there either.
I don't know about bravery, Emmie....we shouldn't have to be brave to do what she did.....
The only problems she had, that she shouldn't, came from men.....and that's such a pity....
Her comment at the end could be said by me..... I'd do it....but would I let my daughter.....not in a month of Sundays......
If fools like her want to risk their lives for their 15 minutes of fame I wouldn't care but I know there are consequences for others.
Soldiers, sometimes young, sometimes British, often have to risk their lives to rescue them.
Less conscientious individuals and governments, including European governments, sometimes pay vast ransoms for their fools. And I'm sure we'd all agree that's bad.
I don't know about that. I don't care much what anyone does as long as they're not hurting, or possibly, hurting others.
But then, my raison d'etre isn't to make myself look fabulous to a bunch of fellow virtue-signalling fools.
