For how many years were women not allowed to hold a position of value in the Catholic religion?
Oh, no, a woman presiding as a priest?
Could not possibly happen.
Same with lots of other religions..
Some religions have emerged from the dark ages just slightly quicker than others.
What makes one religion better than another?
As far as I'm concerned the dark ages are the best place or all religions.
Let science and research guide us.

Once upon a time there was a late night phone-in show on Radio Forth headed up by a catholic priest called Andy.
He would sometimes counsel (mostly women) on how to release pent-up frustrations before they boiled over into physical confrontation with the soon to return drunken husband.
He recommended twisting a towel or similar into a stiff rope, hold both ends and leather the back of the couch till they were breathless and more relaxed.
A similar but crucially different use of a weapon to deal with a situation.
Andy's dead now but the memories linger on.

Before any more, choose to criticise my headline rather than the content of the report, let me try and explain once again?
Since the written word can't covey emotion, let me try and explain, try altering the tone of your voice to a higher pitch when you say,
"DO ALL MUSLIM WOMEN!!! think this way"?
But then most of you realised what I was asking, but felt rather uncomfortable criticising there daft women for their views, and the only explanation to this is because these daft women also happened to be Muslim, a protective species it would seem.

/// AOG
So what exactly are you referring to when you ask, "Do all Muslim women think this way?"
What is 'this way' referring to? ///
I would have thought that blatantly obvious even to you.
But to humour you:
The very same way as these particular Muslim women are thinking.
*** The women agree that they should only be beaten if they are caught 'committing sin' - pointing out that this means seriously disrespecting Allah or their husbands. ***
*** 'Disobedience to the husband. Immoral acts or cheating. Admitting anyone to the home that the husband doesn't like,' Ms Latifi explains. ***
*** The pair agree that men have the right to beat their wives because husbands take a 'leadership' position within the family. ***
I would have loved to see the response if Trump or Farage had said those things.

sp1814 at 11:42, I’m talking about faithful Muslims – you know, the ones you don’t find down the pub.
//there are literally dozens of different sects within Islam, all of whom follow different interpretations of the Koran.//
Mmmm ......well ...... not to worry. The Koran is quite clear on the subject so whatever the sect no interpretation necessary.
