French Elections
No link I'm afraid but the only predictions I could find is that Macron had got 60% of the vote of those coming out of the polling stations.
Are the Grench more honest in the exit polls ?

Looks like the racist/fascist faction have lost !

This might actually be bad news for the UK.
On the one hand, I'm relieved that Madame Le Pen has lost, because I don't agree with her politics, but Macron is very much pro-EU. How will his position affect us in the forthcoming Brexit negotiations?
Will he, with Merkel make us 'an example'?
Also, it would've been nice to see someone else come out of the EU. As it is, to me the UK is like the fat kid with the eye-patch on his NHS glasses sitting on the sidelines whilst all the other kids play football.
It would've been nice to have someone else with us on the stands.

Oh dear. To be honest I would have said the same whoever had won. France is in a horrible position. Le Pen would have brought the festering boil to a crisis ---------now we are in for a long-drawn-out period of disillusion and resentment i.m.o.p.. It is certainly bad news for us in the UK. Mrs. M. will now have to be really tough ('nasty' in non-diplomatic language).
Two years on and there could be yet another revolution in France, because I know Macron to be a lightweight - he was hopeless when in power and everyone I knew whinged about him. He was voted in because he wasn't Le Pen, that's all. Gallic shrug has done it.
