The Conservatives will almost certainly prevail, but there's more than a few supporters who still have major reservafions about their leader.

They will be mightily relieved to avoid a huge banana skin in Labour forcing a hung parliament, but Mrs May still has a lot to prove after a decidely moderate campaign.

She is very fortunate to have had a virtually unassailable headstart...
